Traditional and contemporary quilts are both beautiful and durable. Pam's custom made quilts are 100% cotton, which is easy to care for and machine washable. Embellishments include lace, buttons, beads, yarns, trinkets, etc.
Each of these heirloom quality quilts are unique and have been hand cut, machine pieced, and either hand stitched or machine quilted by Pam herself.
Using only the finest fabrics, Pam offers a variety of traditional patterns with sizes ranging from baby quilts, to lap throws, to bed quilts, to wall hangings.

This quilt was custom made for a customer who sent me over 70 t-shirts from his career with the FBI. The small logos were set in red, white and blue star blocks. The larger designs were sashed to create uniform sized blocks, then set in random order.

Shell Game Quilt

Shell Game Quilt

Shell Game
48 x 58
Based on the pattern, Turtles, Turtles by Connie Spurlock and Teri Chandler, this quilt is done using contrasting batik fabrics with black turtle bodies. I used the same technique to create contrasting shell designs I created. Quilting was done by 'stitching in the ditch' around each design.

My husband asked me to make a quilt that could be auctioned at his family reunion to raise funds for genealogical research.

The crest was enlarged and painted using fabric ink.  Blocks and sashing fabrics added color and interest.

After custom quilting, it was decided to keep the quilt for ourselves and I made a different quilt for the auction.

Mystery Quilt

Mystery Quilt

Each year our guild presents a mystery quilt pattern with each month's newsletter featuring the next step, over four to six months. This Celtic inspired design was the 2009 pattern.

Phoenix Quilt

Phoenix

42 x 43

This quilt was inspired by a drawing from the web. After some design changes, a miniature Lone Star was pieced and centered over the hand appliquéd flowers, leaves and ribbons. A Celtic inspired border incorporates sections of Lone Star and is custom quilted.

Not Your Grandmothers Wedding Ring

Not Your Grandmothers Wedding Ring

The original plan for this quilt was a traditional Wedding Ring pattern. When a new technique didn't work out, I rearranged the "rings" adding smaller blocks and creating a new pattern. It was a wedding gift to a niece and they love it.

This is an original pattern I drafted by cutting & splicing traditional quilt block patterns. It is made with only four shades of blue batik fabrics. It is pieced using only straight lines, & the pattern creates the illusion of circles. Custom quilting with white thread shows the pattern beautifully on the reverse side of the quilt.

This medallion quilt was the 2010 guild's Mystery Quilt. The main fabric is a multi colored fabric reminiscent of the southwest. The blue, gold and green fabrics were coordinated with the main fabric. After finishing, I decided to add the Kokopelli character to the center of the medallion and from there the quilt gained its name.

Blue Escargo Quilt

I belong to the miniature group in my quilter's guild and I wanted to make a quilt with a little challenge. This is a traditional Snails Trail pattern combined with star blocks in the centers. Someday I plan to make the full size version from the same pattern I drafted down to make this one, using the same fabrics. It took second place in the 2011 Southwest Florida Quilt Festival, Miniature category.

These two quilts were made for two young girls who had lost their father at a early age. Their mother had them choose their favorite shirts he had worn and they were made into lap quilts. Most were Hawaiian style and some had logos or large motifs which were incorporated. There were a few blocks left over & they were made into small travel size quilts or doll size for the girls.
